Igor Moritz is a young artist born in Poland in 1996. After being
forced to relocate in London with his family at a young age, he re-
turned to his country to pursue his studies in Fine Arts, in Lubin.
Moritz’s artistic energy flows out of him intensely; constant-
ly creating with an almost Egon Schieleian-like pas-
sion, Moritz’s muse is the world around him as well as
his most intimate circle. They are the people portrayed,
thus the artists is giving to the public a view of his world.
His paintings and drawing flirt with mimesis while brea-
king all rules of perspective, proportion and rea-
lism. He morphs and composes the perspective, space
and figures in a way, in order to create visual tension.
Color is something that is always at the forefront of his works,
as Moritz sees color to be a way to tap into the viewer’s visual
palette. Artworks are thus palpable, emotional, and visceral.
