Bianca Foratori

Biography

Bianca Foratori (b. 1991) is a visual artist and muralist from Jundiaí, currently living and working in São Paulo. Her artistic narrative draws inspiration from the daily lives of Brazilian women, striving to recognize and honor women's work and memory. With a focus on creative practices, Foratori explores the processes of meaning-making that occur within the physical and symbolic confines of the domestic environment, shaped by the hands and minds of women.

 

The artist's work celebrates narratives that have been erased by hegemonic history but have survived through everyday gestures, oral traditions, ancestral practices, emotional memories, and craftsmanship. Foratori's art is a tribute to the resilience and creativity of women, transforming the overlooked and the mundane into statements of cultural and historical significance.

 

Foratori's work stands out for its commitment to highlighting and preserving the often-unseen contributions of women. Her murals and visual pieces serve as reminders of the rich, complex stories woven into the fabric of daily life, inviting viewers to engage with and appreciate these untold histories.

Bianca Foratori has participated in a series of group exhibitions both in Brazil and internationally. Her works have been presented in exhibitions such as “Potluck” at Hashimoto Contemporary in Los Angeles, CA, and “Ocupação Olhares Inspirados - Raquel Trindade, Rainha Kambinda” at SESC 24 de Maio in São Paulo, SP.

 

Bianca Foratori has also had solo exhibitions, including "A Mão Invisível" at the 31st Exhibition Program at CCSP in São Paulo, SP, in 2021, and "Corpos Estranhos" at Oficina Cultural Alfredo Volpi, also in São Paulo, SP, in 2019.
