Girma Berta (b. 1990, Ethiopia) captures the vibrancy and energy of African cities in his series Motion. His photography is more than just a snapshot of urban life—it’s a poetic exploration of movement, labor, and the evolving digital landscape. Through dynamic, colorful imagery, Berta conveys the pulse of everyday life with a personal yet universal resonance.
Slimen Elkamel (b. 1983, Tunisia) blends his cultural heritage with contemporary visual language, creating works that merge text and image. His art draws on oral storytelling traditions to explore history, memory, and imagination, offering a poetic journey where past and present intersect. Elkamel’s work invites the viewer into a space where narrative, emotion, and symbolism are intertwined.
Anaïs Maar (b. 1993, France) uses self-portraits and abstract compositions to delve into themes of identity and intimacy. Her paintings are charged with emotion, oscillating between serenity and turmoil. Through vivid colors and compulsive motifs, Maar crafts a poetic visual language that explores both the personal and the mythical aspects of selfhood.
Together, these artists create a body of work that invites reflection on the personal and the universal, each piece resonating with poetic depth and emotional clarity.
